Margot Popplewell and Marcel Gizzard of Anthroxville's Detective Agency of Hunch and Premonition have never received a single request to investigate these vanishings. It's just another quirk of life in this bizarre burg, as common as getting jumped by John Knuckle or swindled by Gregory Fromage.

 

Some vanished souls do return, only to be met with irritation rather than relief. "If we'd mounted a search party, we might've had to find you," friends quip sardonically. These brief reappearances are as fleeting and unnoticed as Axel Kettlebell's constant overtures to Mia Culpa.

 

But it's the mysterious arrivals that truly captivate Anthroxville. Enter Sid Blitzkrieg, a punk cat whose sudden materialization set tongues wagging and imaginations sprinting. Discovered by the opportunistic Binky Pettifogger outside Florence de Looselips' hotel, The Snoop Inn, Sid's naked, forlorn figure bathed in neon-pink light became the town's latest living riddle.

 

At first glance, Sid bore a passing resemblance to Ludwig von Flitter, Anthroxville's resident mad scientist known for nocturnal wanderings and accidental inventions. But as Binky drew closer, she realized this hairless enigma was an altogether different breed of mystery.
