In the ever-evolving underworld of Anthroxville, Axel Kettlebell, the brawling brown bear with a penchant for audacious heists, finds himself at a crossroads. Despite a résumé boasting increasingly daring capers – from clearing out his drinking buddy Orville Stonker's ill-gotten gains to outwitting the great Charles Moneyshot himself – Axel's criminal prowess fails to catch the eye of his heart's desire, Mia Culpa.

 

"What's a heister got to do to get so much as a look-in these days?" Axel wonders aloud, his winks and waves going unnoticed. In a world where heisting has become as commonplace as a weekend hobby, the once-glamorous life of crime no longer guarantees street cred or the best table at Edison Upskirt’s notorious eatery.

 

With his go-to skills of heisting and brawling losing their charm, Axel spends weeks concocting a scheme to prove he's still got what it takes. The answer comes to him in a moment of armpit-scratching inspiration: hijack Dinero Cashmoney's tax-evading hot air balloon, the crown jewel of Anthroxville's skyline.

 

"Axel Kettlebell: Scoundrel of the Skies" has a nice ring to it, he muses. But in a town where even the most outrageous crimes are becoming passé, Axel must ensure his aerial adventure hasn't already been attempted. The last thing he needs is to be branded "Axel Kettlebell: Copycuck of the Clouds."

 

As he embarks on planning this skyward caper, Axel realizes that hijacking presents a whole new set of challenges. It's time for this old dog to learn some new tricks – and hopefully, finally catch Mia's eye in the process. There was, however...
